The Hill and Moorland Leader Award enables experienced hill walkers to lead groups on day walks in the hills and moorlands of the United Kingdom and Ireland in summer conditions.
A three (3) day (30 hour) assessment to measure your competencies against the Hill and Moorland Leader syllabus, run in a relaxed style to help you perform and achieve. On successful completion of the assessment, you’ll be qualified to safely and effectively lead groups in open, uncultivated, non-mountainous high or remote country in the UK and Ireland.
As approved Mountain Training providers with a proven track record, we know how to set you up for success. Led by experienced trainers, you’ll be part of small groups of upto 4 people. This 1:4 ratio allows us to personalise your experience and give you the best chance of successfully completing your assessment.

The Hill and Moorland Leader assessment costs £260 per person (1:4 teaching ratio) and is held over three (3) days.
