Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about booking, courses, and training with Mountains and Moore.

How do I book a course?

The quickest way is to schedule a call so we can match you to the right course and dates. You can also contact us by phone or email.

Where do you run courses?

We’re based in the Midlands (Hathern, Loughborough) and deliver First Aid and Mountain Training courses across the UK. Some mountain skills courses take place in locations such as Snowdonia — check the individual service pages for terrain and venue details.

What types of training do you offer?

We specialise in two areas:

  • First Aid Training — including First Aid at Work, Outdoor First Aid, Emergency First Aid, and Paediatric First Aid
  • Mountain Skills and Qualifications — including Mountain Skills, Hill Skills, and Mountain Training leadership awards (Lowland Leader, Hill and Moorland Leader, Camping Leader)

Do you deliver training at our workplace?

Yes — many First Aid courses can be delivered at your place of work for groups (typically up to 12 learners, depending on the course). Get in touch to discuss your requirements.

How do I register for a Mountain Training award?

Mountain Training requires candidates to register for an award before beginning training. If you’re not already registered, we can guide you through the process after you’ve booked.

Who are the instructors?

Courses are led by experienced outdoor instructors, many with backgrounds in emergency services, military, or education. Mountainsandmoor was founded by Matt Hutson, an International Mountain Leader with nearly 30 years in outdoor learning.
